5. Disconnect the wire from the spark plug (Figure 30).

6. Clean around the spark plug.
7. Remove the spark plug from the cylinder head.
Important:
Replace a cracked, fouled, or
dirty spark plug. Do not clean the electrodes
because grit entering the cylinder can damage
the engine.
8. Set the gap on the plug to 0.030 inch (0.76 mm)
(Figure 31).

9. Install the spark plug and tighten the plug securely.
10. Connect the wire to the spark plug.
11. Tip the snowthrower forward onto its front to make
installing the exhaust baffle easier (Figure 32).

12. From the rear left position, insert the exhaust baffle
up into the shroud.
Note:
Ensure that the upper lip of the exhaust
baffle fits into the tabs on the inside of the shroud
(Figure 33).
