Servicing the Toro Engine
WARNING
Shut off engine before checking the oil or adding oil to
the crankcase.
Servicing the Air Cleaner
Service Interval
Maintenance Procedure
Every 25 hours/monthly
(whichever comes first)
• Clean the air cleaner foam element*
Every 100 hours/yearly
(whichever comes first)
• Service the air cleaner paper element*
• Replace the air cleaner foam element*
Every 200 hours/every 2 years
(whichever comes first)
• Replace the air cleaner paper element*
* More often in dusty, dirty conditions
Check the air cleaner daily or before starting the engine. Check for a build-up of dirt and debris around the
air cleaner system. Keep this area clean. Also check for loose or damaged components. Replace all bent or
damaged air cleaner components.
NOTE: Operating the engine with loose or damaged air cleaner components could allow unfiltered air into
the engine causing premature wear and failure.
NOTE: Service the air cleaner more often under extremely dusty, dirty conditions.
