• Change the engine oil.
Before each use or daily
• Check the safety interlock system.
• Check the air lter.
• Check the engine oil level.
• Check the cutting blades.
• Clean the mower housing.
Every 25 hours
• Grease all lubrication points.
• Oil the linkage bushings (more often in dirty or dusty conditions).
• Check the battery electrolyte level.
• Check tire pressure.
• Check the belts for wear/cracks.
Every 50 hours
• Clean the air lter (more often in dirty or dusty conditions).
Every 100 hours
• Change the engine oil (more often while operating the engine under heavy
load or in high temperatures).
• Change the oil lter
• Check the spark plug.
Every 300 hours
• Clean the combustion chamber.
Yearly or before storage
• Clean the cooling system (more often in dirty or dusty conditions).
• Change the air lter (more often in dirty or dusty conditions).
• Replace spark plug.
• Clean the fuel tank and lter.
• Check the fuel line (replace if necessary).
• Replace fuel lter.
• Charge the battery and disconnect battery cables.
• Perform all maintenance procedures listed above before storage.
• Paint any chipped surfaces.
Important:
Refer to your engine operator’s manual for additional maintenance procedures.
If you leave the key in the ignition switch, someone could accidently start the engine and
seriously injure you or other bystanders.
Remove the key from the ignition and disconnect the wire from the spark plug before you do
any maintenance. Set the wire aside so that it does not accidentally contact the spark plug.
