Select a tab, make any changes you require, and click
OK
.
The new power mode changes take effect.
Selecting the “Show power mode on the taskbar” check box
displays the power-saving icon on the taskbar. This icon shows the
current power-saving mode.
Clicking the Details button displays the Full Power Mode Setup
dialog box, allowing you to alter the detailed settings of the power-
saving mode you selected.
Auto Power On tab (Windows NT only)
To configure your computer to automatically turn itself on at a
specific date and time, enter the date and time you wish the
computer to turn on.
Setting user passwords
Setting a password lets you leave your computer, secure in the
knowledge that nobody can access your files. You must enter the
password before you can work on your computer again.
Toshiba supports these types of passwords on your computer:

An instant password secures your open programs and files
when you leave the computer temporarily.
❖
A power-on password prevents unauthorized users from
starting or restarting the computer.
