Grounding for power transformer and hospital power supply
When the hospital power is supplied using an isolation transformer or an isolated power
supply, it is necessary to ground the neutral point or one of the phases of the secondary-side
circuit connected to the gantry rotation section.
If the secondary-side circuit is floating (ungrounded), the X-ray high-voltage generator inside
the gantry may not start normally.
When the secondary side uses a Y
connection, the neutral point or one of the
phases must be grounded.
When the secondary side uses a
Δ
connection, one of the phases must be
grounded.
