Installing the DeviceNet Module
Install the DeviceNet module in ASD as follows:
1.
Turn off input power to the ASD and wait 15 minutes. Ensure that the red Charge LED is off.
2.
Install the DeviceNet module in the ASD as shown in
, below. This illustration shows the
AS1.
Note:
When this option is used in conjunction with the I/O Expansion Card option, install
this option between the front panel and the I/O Card.
a)
Insert a flat-blade screwdriver into one of the two holes at the top of the front panel. Push the
screwdriver down while pulling the corresponding top corner of the front panel forward to dis-
engage the retention tab. Repeat for the other side. Remove the front panel.
b)
Install the option card by fitting the curved tabs on the bottom of the option into the slots at the
bottom of the ASD. (Or I/O Expansion Card, if installed.)
c)
Ensure that the option card closes over the ASD (I/O Expansion Card) alignment tabs. Press
the option card closed and ensure that the retaining tabs at top of the ASD (I/O Expansion
Card) are securely connected.
d)
Insert the mounting tabs at the bottom of the front panel into the slots at the bottom of the
ASD/option card. Press the front panel closed and ensure that the retaining tabs at top of the
ASD/option card engage.
e)
Affix the enclosed "LED name label" to the option LED display part of the front panel.
