2.2 Adjustment of Auto-Toner Sensor
Note: Check if the cleaning blade is pressed against the drum before performing this adjustment.
<Procedure> (Code “200” in the adjustment mode (05))
(1) Install the cleaner and developer unit in the copier (the cleaning blade is in contact with the drum).
(2) Turn ON the power while the digital keys “0” and “5” are pressed simultaneously.
The following is displayed on the control panel.
(3) Enter “200” using the digital keys and press the [START] key.
The display changes as follows.
Note: A : indicates the controlled value of the auto-toner sensor output. Press the Up or Down
icon to change the value.
B : indicates the output voltage of the auto-toner sensor (2.30 V in the above case).
The drum, developer unit, etc. are in operation.
C : indicates the latest adjustment value.
(4) After about two minutes, the value B automatically starts changing.
(5) After a short time, the value B becomes stable and the display changes as follows.
(6) Check if the value B is within the range of 235 to 245 (the output voltage range of the auto-toner
sensor is 2.35 V to 2.45 V).
