Replacing GA-1121 board components

COOLING
ASSEMBLY
1.
Position the CPU heatsink on the CPU socket, aligning the four heatsink pins with the
four holes in the GA-1121 board.
2.
Carefully push all pins down until they snap into place on the board.
Be sure not to apply excessive pressure on the board.
3.
Position the CPU fan on top of the CPU heatsink.
4.
Attach the CPU fan to the CPU heatsink with the four screws you removed earlier.
When using the screwdriver, make sure not to apply excessive pressure on the board.
5.
Connect the CPU fan cable to connector J351.
6.
Reassemble the copier and verify functionality as described in other copier
documentation.
DIMMs
There are two DIMM sockets on the GA-1121 board: J48 and J49. A DIMM (dual in-
line memory module) is held in place by levers at each end of its socket on the GA-1121
board.
The GA-1121 is configured with either one of the following minimum configurations:
• One 256MB DIMM installed in socket J48
• One 128MB DIMM installed in socket J48 and one 128MB DIMM installed in
socket J49, for a total configuration of 256MB
