Hardware Diagnostics
HW Diagnostics consists of diagnostic tests for the server's hardware devices. You can
select a single device or a combination of devices to test.
Use the HW Diagnostics Program to:

Check for normal server operation
❖
Check for normal operation of optional devices
❖
Diagnose failures
Not all failures can be detected by the HW Diagnostics Program. You can also use the
System Setup Utilities and check the error log for problems detected by the system
board.
If the server is running, shut it down and turn it off.

Turn on the server.
As the system boots, highlight "HW Diagnostics" or press 2 to start the HW
Diagnostics Program.
The HW Diagnostics program is on the Magnia 3310/3310R Server Setup Tool CD
and can be created by selecting the
Create Floppy Disk
option.
