Chapter 2: Using the remote control
Learning about the remote control
The buttons used for operating the TV only are described here.
For a complete list of the remote control’s functions, see the
remote control functional key chart (

page 10).
Note:
The error message “NOT AVAILABLE” may appear if
you press a key for a function that is not available.

POWER
turns the TV on and off. When the TV is on, the
blue LED indicator on the TV front will be illuminated.

FREEZE
freezes the picture. Press again to restore the
moving picture.

SLEEP
accesses the sleep timer (

page 39).

PIC SIZE
cycles through the five pictures sizes:
Natural
,
TheaterWide 1/2/3
, and
Full
(

page 26).

Channel Numbers (0–9, –/100)
directly tune
channels. The

button is used to tune digital channels
(

page 25) or to display the favorite channel list
(

page 18).

INPUT
selects the video input source (

cycles through programmed channels when no
menu is on-screen (

page 17), and functions as page up/
down when a menu is on-screen.

adjusts the volume level.

displays TV status information (
