5.4 Serviceman Diagnostic Test Program

5.4.8.2 TRST-A1x Serial Printer Test
In this test, printing and error detection of the printer connected to the POS terminal are checked. If selecting
Port No. to which another device is connected, performing the “
Sample Printing
” or the “
Receipt Cut
” may
cause the POS terminal to lock up. Please be sure to specify the Port No. to which the printer is connected.
(1) Operation
procedure
1. Select the
TRST-A1x-S Test(6)
button on the Printer Test Menu screen.
2. Specify Port No. and Baud rate of the printer by clicking the radio button on the screen.
3. By clicking the
Sample Printing(1)
button, sample printing is performed. (“Printer Test” and 1-line
printing are printed on the receipt.)
4. After the sample printing ended, move the cursor onto the Cut Count edit box, then input a value.
5. By clicking the
Receipt Cut(4)
button, the receipt cut is performed according to the number of Cut
Count value set in Procedure 4.
6. When the printer performs correctly, click the
OK
button to terminate the test. If not, click the
NG
button.
