Step 12: Program iES32 Settings
Follow the instructions in Chapter 3 – Using Stratagy ES Administration and Chapter 4 –
Stratagy ES Configuration Menu in the Stratagy ES I&M Manual to configure iES32.
Configure Number of Voice Ports
➤
Using the sys_og_timeslot parameter, configure the Strata CTX time slot(s) iES32 monitors for
information from the Strata CTX. The configuration is based on the number of iES32 voice
ports used and the slot the system is installed in.
Thermal Sensing
The iES32 is equipped with a device that senses the ambient and CPU temperatures. The device
checks the temperatures every five minutes and initiates either a Warning notification or proceeds
to shut down the system (software).
The following are the thresholds:
•
Notification: CPU 80 degrees C, ambient 65.
•
Shutdown: CPU 90 degrees C, ambient 75.
The temperatures must be recorded at these thresholds for three consecutive checks before
notification or shutdown occurs. Current temperatures can be checked through Trace or NT Event
Viewer.
Note
Event viewer only shows temperature at time of system start up or if there is a reading
outside of the specified range.
CAUTION!
Adjustment to any of these parameters could cause iES32 to not shut down at
the appropriate temperature and could cause permanent damage to the system.
