FAIL-SAFE OPERATION FOR ALL PORTS BUSY (GENERIC 1003 ONLY)
This test verifies that calls to the VP 300 redirect to the designated fail-safe position
when all MIC call appearances are in use. This test applies only to PBXs with Generic
1003 or later, which permits configuration of a hunt group overflow position.
Skip this test if the PBX software level is Generic 1000, Generic 1001, or Generic
1002.
A. Put the VP 300 ports in FWD state by entering, at the @ prompt:
TE C 1
B. Using phone A, call the extension of the VP 300 hunt group. Be sure that you reach the
position specified for overflow in the VP 300 hunt group. If not, correct the problem
before continuing.
C. Hang up phone A.
D. Cancel the VP 300 ports FWD state by entering at the @ prompt:
TE C 2

EXTERNAL TRUNK CALL TO THE VP 300
This test verifies that the VP 300 correctly processes calls from trunks that have been
auto-terminated to the VP 300 hunt group. Be sure to test all such trunk groups.

1-800 (InWATS) lines can be tested individually, even if they are bands from
other areas, by using plant test numbers. Get these numbers from the CO if you
do not already know them.
A. From phone A, call outside of the PBX and back in on a trunk that auto-terminates to
the VP 300. Does the VP 300 answer with the greeting configured for the trunk?
