5. Continue pumping the handle until the vehicle is lifted to
desired height. Pay attention to the saddle position as the
vehicle is being raised to make sure there is no danger that the
support area is slipping off or lifting from the saddle.
6. Place the jack stands under the additional vehicle support
areas.
7. Slowly twist the jack handle counterclockwise to ease vehicle
down onto the jack stands.
The support stands should be spaced as far apart as
possible!
If you place the support stands too close together,
the vehicle has a greater chance of falling over.
2. Lowering
1. Reposition the jack under the same support area that was
used to lift the vehicle.
2. Twist the handle completely clockwise. Pump the handle until
the saddle just begins to make contact with the support area
under the vehicle.
3. Check to be sure that the saddle is centred under the support
area. Slowly pump the handle to lift the vehicle off from the
jack stands.
4. Remove the jack stands by setting them aside, well clear of
vehicle.
5. With a firm grip on the jack handle, SLOWLY twist the handle
counterclockwise until the jack starts to lower.
6. Carefully control the lowering speed of the vehicle. Lowering a
vehicle too fast can cause property damage or injury.
