8. TROUBLESHOOTING

N° Problem
Cause
Action
1 The jack won’t lift
a weight
The jack is overloaded
Remove excess weight
• Insufficient oil level
• The oil level is too high
Check the level of the hydraulic oil.
Remove or add oil to correct the
problem.
Air got trapped in the hydraulic circuit Remove air from the circuit, see
attachment ‘Pump bleeding
instructions’
The release valve is loose
Close the release valve
There is friction and/or rust
Lubricate the jack
2 The jack leaks oil The oil reservoir leaks oil due to
normal wear and tear
Replace the O-ring
3 Overload valve is
turned
The overload valve is tightened in the
wrong direction
Contact your dealer (turning it the
wrong direction changes the tension
of spring. As a result there is a
change in the functionality of the
jack).
4 Wheels do not
roll properly
There is too much dust and/or dirt
Clean the wheels and lubricate
5 Milky or foamy oil
leakage
Water or air is mixed up with the oil
Change the oil and refill the reservoir
6 Cracking,
bending or
breaking
Stop using the jack and replace by a
new one
