8. TROUBLESHOOTING

N° Problem

1 The hydraulic 

pump doesn’t 

operate

Defective fuse

Replace the fuses, see spare parts list

Loose or unconnected plug

Reconnect the plug

2 The forks can’t be 

raised

Load is too heavy, pressure relief 

valve is activated

Reduce load

Lowering valve doesn’t close anymore 

or is not sealed because of dirt

Clean or replace the valve, see spare 

parts list

Temperature is too low and the 

hydraulic oil has become too thick

Move the truck to a warmer location 

and check intended use

The level of hydraulic oil is too low

Add hydraulic oil, see chapter 7

The oil contains impurities 

(for example water, sand, dust, 

rust …)

Change the oil, see chapter 7

The nut or screw were tightened too 

much, causing the pumping valve to 

stay open

Adjust the nut or screw

Air enters the hydraulic oil

Bleed the air, see procedure in 

chapter 7

Control lever is no longer adjusted 

correctly

Follow the procedure for adjusting the 

control lever in chapter 7

3 The forks 

descend without 

the release valve 

being operated

The impurities in the oil prevent the 

release valve from closing properly

Change the oil, see chapter 7

Some parts of the hydraulic system 

are cracked or worn

Inspect and replace the worn parts, 

see spare parts list

Air enters the hydraulic oil

Bleed the air, see procedure chapter 7

Sealing parts are worn or damaged

Replace the seals, see spare parts 

list.

The adjuster nut or screw is not in the 

correct position

Adjust the nut or the screw

Control lever is no longer adjusted 

correctly

Follow the procedure for adjusting the 

control lever in chapter 6

4 The forks can’t be 

raised up to the 

maximum height

The level of hydraulic oil is too low

Add hydraulic oil, see chapter 7

5 The raised 

load lowers 

automatically

Leakage in the hydraulic system

Replace the seals, see spare parts list

Lowering valve doesn’t close anymore 

or is not sealed because of dirt

6 Leaks
