GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
The unit must be connected only to a supply circuit that is protected by a ground-fault circuit-interrupter (GFCI). Such a GFCI should be
provided by the installer and should be tested on a routine basis.
To test the GFCI, push the test button. The GFCI should interrupt power. Push the reset button. Power should be restored. If the GFCI fails
to operate in this manner, the GFCI is defective.
If the GFCI interrupts power without the test button being pushed there is a ground current flowing, indicating the possibility of an electric
shock. Do not use this hydromassage bathtub. Disconnect the hydromassage bathtub and have the problem corrected by a qualified
service representative before using.
Improper use of the grounding plug can result in a risk of electric shock. To reduce the risk of injury, do not permit children to
use this unit unless they are closely supervised at all times.
Check with a qualified electrician or serviceman if the grounding wire instructions are not completely understood, or if in doubt as to
whether the product is properly grounded.
This product is factory equipped with a specific electric cord and plug to permit connection to a proper electric circuit. Make sure that the
product is connected to an outlet having the same configuration as the plug. No adapter should be used with this product. Do not modify
the plug provided - if it will not fit in the outlet, have the proper outlet installed by a qualified electrician. Changing the cord or plug will
void the warranty.
If it is necessary to use an extension cord, use only a three wire extension cord that has a three blade grounding plug, and a three-slot
receptacle that will accept the plug on the product.
For permanently connected units, a green colored terminal (or wire connector marked “G”, “GR” or “Ground”, or “Grounding”) is
provided within the terminal compartment. To reduce the risk of electric shock, connect this terminal or connector to the grounding
terminal of your electric service or supply panel with a conductor equivalent in size to the circuit conductors supplying the equipment.
