10. If using the Castle Creations ESC, install the Star Plug
connector and bullet connectors on the ESC. Attach a piece
of adhesive backed hook and loop material to the bottom of
the motor box and the bottom of the ESC. Nylon tie straps
(not included) can also be used to attach the ESC. Attach
the ESC to the bottom of the motor box. Connect the ESC
to the motor. Route the receiver plug from the ESC and plug
it into the receiver.

11. Make a hook and loop strap from the remaining hook
and loop material. Install it in the battery compartment. Attach
a piece of adhesive-backed hook and loop material to the
battery tray and the motor battery.
❏
12. Glue the two 10 x 10 x 60 mm hardwood sticks to the

With the propeller not installed
, switch on the
transmitter with the throttle stick in the lowest position.
Connect the motor battery to the ESC and check that the
motor rotates counterclockwise when viewed from the front
when the throttle is advanced. If it does not, switch two of
the motor wires and check again.
IMPORTANT:
Now is a good time to set the fail safe on the
transmitter. The fail safe should be set so that the motor stops
if the signal from the transmitter is lost. Once the fail safe
has been set, start the motor and switch off the transmitter.
The motor must stop. If it does not, reset the fail safe and
test again.
