DISPOSAL OF THE UNIT

Appliances bearing the symbol shown here may not be disposed of in domestic

rubbish. You are required to dispose of old electrical and electronic appliances like

this separately.

Please visit www.recycle-more.co.uk or www.recyclenow.co.uk for access to

information about the recycling of electrical items.

Please visit www.weeeireland.ie for access to information about the recycling of

electrical items purchased in Ireland.

The WEEE directive, introduced in August 2006, states that all electrical items must

be recycled, rather than taken to landfill.

Please arrange to take this appliance to your local Civic Amenity site

for recycling, once it has reached the end of its life.

7 - Recycling

Emptying the Dust Tank:

1.  To empty the dust tank, begin by pulling the release button at the top of the

tank housing to separate it from the main unit.

2.  When the tank has been separated from the handheld, twist the tank lid

clockwise to unlock it.

3.  Open the tank and pull the inlet filter out. Shake the tank’s contents into a

dustbin and fit the filter back into place.

4.  Once the dust tank has been emptied, replace the lid and twist it counter-

clockwise to slot it into place and close the dust tank.

5.  Affix the dust tank back onto the handheld portion of the unit, as described

in the assembly section above. Use the brackets at the edge of the tank as a

guide for how to position the tank when re-fitting it into place.

Cleaning the Unit Body:

1.  Before cleaning the unit body, ensure the unit is disconnected from the mains

supply and not in operation.

2.  Use a damp cloth to clean the unit body. Never use any abrasive cleaning

materials or solvents, as these could cause damage to the surface of the unit.

WARNING!

DO NOT allow any liquids into the unit, as this could cause damage to

the electrical components and cause it to malfunction.

Storing the Appliance:

When not using the vacuum for extended periods of time, store the unit in a cool,

dry place, preferably inside its original packaging.
