ENGINE (1RZ--E)

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1 Check voltage between terminals #10, #20 of engine ECU and body ground.

PREPARATION:

(a) Remove the glove compartment.

(See page FI -- 6

)

(b)

Turn ignition switch ON.

CHECK:

Measure voltage between terminals #10, #20 of engine ECU
and body ground.

OK:

Voltage: 9 -- 14 V

OK Go to step 3.

2 Check EFI fuse.

PREPARATION:

Remove EFI fuse from engine room J/B.

CHECK:

Check continuity of EFI fuse.

OK:

Continuity

Check for short circuits in all the harness and

components connected to EFI fuse.

Check for open in harness and connector be-

tween engine ECU and battery.

3 Check for open in harness and connector between terminals E01, E02 of engine

ECU connector and body ground

(See page IN--21).

Repair or replace harness or connector.
