4 Introduction
4.1 Description of the truck
The hand pallet truck is available in different models:
UL = 38 mm fork height
P = Start help
L = 55 mm fork height
SI = Silent
Z = 65 mm fork height
WI = Weight indicator
U = 75 mm fork height
G = Galvanized
O = Maximum load
WS = Wet Spec
Q = Quicklift
EW = Extra wide
X = Handbrake
BR = Round goods
4.2 Intended use
The truck is designed to be used for handling goods in an environment
sheltered from the weather. The truck must be specially adapted if it is to be
used in a cold store or cold storage.
The truck may be used only on a firm and even surfaces, for example con-
crete or asphalt.
You must have passed a driver's education for this type of truck to use it. It
may also be a requirement that you have permission to drive the truck within
the area.
4.3 Unauthorized use
The truck may never be used in the following situations, unless it is specially
adapted for them:
•
Environments containing dust or gases that may cause a fire or explo-
sion.
•
Corrosive environments.
•
As a tractor truck for carts or other trucks.
•
For transport or lift of passengers.
•
Driving on an uneven floor or a floor with insufficient carrying capacity.
