5 Working with the truck
5.1 Checks before use
▷
Read the chapter “Safe use” completely and make sure you understand
the contents before you use the truck.
To maintain the safety, the daily check must always be performed according
to the following list, at the start of the work day or shift.
•
Always report damages and errors to the management.
•
Never use the truck until damages and errors are corrected by a service
technician.
Before using the truck
1.
Chassis
Check for damage, remove dirt, and such. Check signs and adhesive la-
bels.
2.
Wheels
Check for damage, remove oil, metal grindings, and such.
3.
Hydraulic system
Check for oil leaks. Contact a service technician in case of faults or for
topping up oil.
4.
Lifting/lowering
Check the function.
5.
Steering
Check the function.
6.
Sound-absorbing material(LHM230SI)
Check for any damage and stuck parts.
7.
Vibration-dampers at piston rod ends(LHM230SI)
Check for any damage and parts that are stuck or chafing.
5.2 Driving the truck
The truck is driven and controlled using the tow bar.
