The Partlow 1161+ Overtemperature Controller provides an independent
temperature control system to protect the oven from an overtemperature
condition. This is a 1/16 DIN non-profiling type controller. A Type J
thermocouple is used for temperature sensing and is placed in the airflow
at the top of the workspace.
The 1161+ is normally preset 10° C above the maximum rated
temperature of the oven and should not be changed.
Operation:
During normal conditions, Output #1 contacts are closed to energize the
Heater Contactor. Contacts of this contactor will close to energize the
circulation blower motor and to enable the heat control output of the main
temperature controller.
When an overtemperature condition occurs, Output #1 will open to deenergize the Heater Contactor which
removes power from the blower motor and heaters. The OUT and EXCEED LEDs on the controller will
illuminate.
When conditions return to normal, the EXCEED LED on the controller will turn off. You must then press the
RESET button on the controller. The OUT LED will then turn off and Output #1 will close to permit the
conditioning circuitry to reenergize. The blower motor will start and the heat output of the main controller will
be enabled through the Heater Contactor.
Note:
The 1161+ is configured for automatic reset during a power up condition only. This includes the
return of power after a power failure.
Controller Parameter Setup:
The pre-programmed controller configuration for your oven is documented in the Controller Parameter Setup
Chart, which is part of your Test Report. This is located in the Supplemental Instructions Section.
Important!
The configuration set-up is mainly provided for your reference. Not all of the
parameters shown apply to your chamber. Changes to some of the set-up parameters may
drastically affect your chamber performance and void your warranty. Contact the TPS Service
Dept. before attempting any changes.
