9.3.2.18 Manufacturer's diagnoses
The measuring system does not support further manufacturer's diagnoses.
Important information
According to the PNO encoder profile, an encoder must set the bits
'Ext.diag'
(extended diagnostic information available) and
'Stat.diag'
(static error) in the event
of an internal error being detected in the station status. This means that, in case of
error, the encoder stops providing position data and is removed from the process
image by the PROFIBUS master until the error is no more present. The encoder is
included automatically into the process image as soon as the error was eliminated.
At present only the alarm
"Position error"
and the warning
“Perm. Temperature
exceeded”
is supported in the profile.
Further warnings aren't available and will be set to the default values prescribed by
the profile.
