Mains fuse
The amplifier should be supplied with the correct fuse fitted for your country. If it is necessary to
change this fuse at any time replace it only with one of the same type and rating as indicated for
your countries voltage adjacent to the fuse holder.
Power On/Off
This is located on the rear panel and is clearly marked as to which position is ON or OFF. Make
sure this switch is in its OFF position prior to connecting the mains supply cable.
Earth lift switch
An EARTH LIFT switch is provided to allow removal of the mains earth from the signal circuits to
eliminate ground loops between connected equipment.
This amp as with all TRACE ELLIOT equipment still maintains an earth connection to the chassis
and all metal parts of the unit for safety reasons even when the EARTH LIFT switch is operated.
NEVER lift the earth or grounding to any equipment by removal of the earth connection in the
mains plug, this can be a potential dangerous practice and in some instances prove fatal to both
the equipment and the user.
Footswitch socket
On the chorus models a stereo jack socket is provided for foot switching both the chorus and
reverb. A two way foot switch unit is available from TRACE ELLIOT for this purpose.
On the TA40R unit any single latching footswitch may be used with a mono jack plug for switching
the reverb.
Link/D.I socket
This jack socket may be used as a LINE OUT to other equipment or as a link to another unit for
further sound reinforcement. Used as a LINK to another unit all that is required is a single jack to
jack cable plugged from the LINK socket on the first amp to the LINK socket on the second.
Each MASTER LEVEL control will set the volume of its own amplifier and sound will come from
units regardless of which preamp is used.
This socket may also be used as a LINE IN if required.
