4.7 Remote Lift Arm Valve
The lift arms on the PT-30 can be lowered from the exterior of the
machine in an emergency.
To lower lift arms:
1.
Make sure all bystanders are clear of the normal movement
path of the lift arms and any attachment that may be fastened
to the quick attach.
2.
Make sure the engine is off and all moving components have
stopped.
3.
Open the hood at the rear of the machine.
4.
Insert the proper size hex (allen) type wrench into the bleed
screw on the remote lift arm valve (RLV) mounted to the left
side of the hydraulic reservoir (fig. 4.7-1).
5.
Make sure you can see the lift arms , then turn the bleed screw
CCW to release pressure and slowly lower the lift arms. Turn
the screw CW to close the valve when the lift arms have come
to rest on the ground.
