No other configuration is permitted.
Once davitrac is in place and unfolded.
1. Install the bracket on the davitrac mast (fig. 5). Each
bracket has a positioning rod that prevents the
chosen system from being set up incorrectly. Each
bracket must necessarily be fixed with the two rods
connected to the bracket.
Note: It is strictly forbidden to modify the anchoring
bracket supplied with the system in any way.
2. On the mast, choose the holes that correspond
to the holes on the bracket and fix it with the rods
(fig. 5).
3. Lock the bracket with the rods and locking pins
fastened to the bracket (fig. 5).
NOTE:
for each device with a bracket, the cable
must be routed over the appropriate transfer pulley on
davitrac (fig. 2).
5.4. Putting in place the cable on the
cable transfer pulley
1. Depending on the positioning of your system, route
the cable over the transfer pulleys (fig. 4).
2. Pull out the cable guide rod (fig. 4) fastened to the
adjustable anchoring head on the boom.
3. Route the cable over the pulley appropriate for the
system.
a. PPE pulley for blocfor™ R
b. Lifting pulley for all hoists (fig. 4)
4. Replace the cable guide rod (fig. 4) with its locking
pin to lock the system.
Note:
The cable may only be installed on the
pulleys by an operator who has read the installation
instructions as described in the manual.
When two systems are attached to the davitrac, make
sure that the cables do not cross each other.
5.5. Installing a fall protection device on
the anchor point of the davitrac head
The adjustable davitrac anchoring head is equipped
with a PPE anchor point and a lifting anchor point.
Two fall protection systems must never be connected to
the same anchor point; do not connect a lifting system
to the PPE anchor point.
The connection with the PPE anchor point on davitrac
must be made using an EN 362 connector.
5.6. Installing a fall protection system
on the anchor point of the davitrac
articulation plate
The davitrac articulation plate is equipped with two PPE
anchor points.
Two fall protection systems must never be connected to
the same anchor point; do not connect a lifting system
to the PPE anchor point.
The connection with the PPE anchor point on davitrac
must be made using an EN 362 connector.
5.7. Installing a load lifting device on the
davitrac head
Not covered by CE PPE EN 795:2012. In accordance
with Machinery Directive 2006/42/CE for load lifting only.
The anchoring head of davitrac has an anchor point for
lifting loads. Attachment to the anchor point must be made
using a connector that complies with the requirements of
the Machinery Directive and is appropriate for the load
applied (see lifting system manual).
5.8. Using davitrac as an anchor point for
a rope-suspended work device.
To use davitrac as an anchor for a rope-suspended
work device, it is mandatory to separate the operator
suspension anchor and the fall protection anchor.
1. Use with a hoist
The rope-suspended work system (for up and down
movement) must be fixed to the bracket. The cable
must imperatively be routed over the lifting pulley on
the anchoring head.
The operator must be made safe with a fall protection
system that is to be fixed to the PPE anchor point on
the anchoring head, or using a blocfor™ R device on its
bracket. Its cable must necessarily be routed over the
PPE pulley on the anchoring head.
2. Use with a rope
The rope-suspended work system (for up and down
movement) must be fixed to the anchor point on the
anchoring head.
The operator must be made safe with a fall protection
system that is to be fixed to the PPE anchor point on
the anchoring head, or using a blocfor™ R device on its
bracket. Its cable must necessarily be routed over the
PPE pulley on the anchoring head.
DANGER
: if any of the fall protection anchor
points of davitrac is used, you must necessarily
consider how any rescue operations can be conducted
efficiently and safely within 15 minutes. After that time,
the operator is in danger.
