Installation and operating manual
G961.1 - 03/2012
EN-19
Jamming of the load lifting equipment may also lead to deactiva-
tion.
When overloaded:
–
Reduce the load until no overload is present.
When jammed:
–
Lower or release the hoist until the load hangs freely again.
–
Remove the obstacle before lifting the load again.
10.7
Deactivation due to rope end
reached, loops in the free reeler or a
slack rope
Free reeler
See Fig. 13.
There are two adjustment rings at the end of the rope which
press the sleeve (2) against a spring on the rope end switch (limit
switch DOWN) (1). The hoist is stopped.
The rope end switch can also be triggered by rope loops caused
by incorrectly winding the rope:
–
Try to re-arrange the rope loop through the service opening
so that the error does not occur again.
–
If this is not successful, send the hoist to be repaired.
Driven reeler
Rope end switch and winding monitor (limit switch DOWN)
The winding monitor switches off as soon as the rope slackens
on the rope reel or if the end of the rope runs off the rope reel.
Activation occurs with either upward and downward movement.
The rope slackens when, for example, the sliding clutch is incor-
rectly set up or if it is defective. If the rope is loose then loops can
occur which jump out of the guide or pull tight.
See Fig. 19.
The springs (1) press the rocker (2) of the laying unit upwards if
the rope slackens. The limit switch (3) is triggered.
The same principle also applies to hoists without deflection roll-
ers.
10.8
Measures to be taken after a prob-
lem or safety-stop
DANGER!
Danger of severe accidents!
In the event of an emergency-stop the entire construction is
subjected to sudden forces. Damage to the suspended as-
sembly, the anchoring devices, the rope and the secondary
brake is possible.
–
The secondary brake must be inspected by Greifzug
Hebezeugbau GmbH or an authorized hoisting gear
workshop.
–
A qualified specialist must perform an on-site inspection.
–
Remove the secondary brake and send it to TRACTEL
Greifzug GmbH or an authorized hoisting gear workshop for
inspection.
On-site inspection to be carried out by a specialist:
y
Suspension wire rope
y
Suspension wire rope anchoring point
y
On-site anchoring point of the secondary brake and anchor-
ing point on the load lifting equipment
y
All bolts and screw connections
An inspection is not needed after an activation.
11
Foreseeable misuse
Guarantee and liability claims for personal injuries and equip-
ment damage will be rejected if they can be traced back to one or
more of the following causes:
y
Unauthorized use of the product, the accessories or the
carrying means belonging to the product
y
Lifting personnel
y
Operating with a soiled rope
y
Operating without limit switch (hoist for lifting)
y
Use in potentially explosive or corrosive environments
y
Not adhering to the stipulated maintenance periods
y
Cleaning with a high-pressure cleaner
y
Incorrect installation, commissioning, operation, mainte-
nance or repairs
y
Working with an electrical connection that does not corre-
spond to the details stipulated in this manual
y
Poor monitoring of the parts and the accessories, which has
resulted in wear occurring
y
Carrying out incorrect and unauthorized repairs
y
Use of non-original spare parts
y
Alteration of safety device settings
y
Ignoring measurements and checks that would detect early
signs of damage
