Before servicing, disconnect all power
sources and allow at least 10 minutes
for capacitors to discharge.
•
All electrical enclosures—unit or remote
—are IP2X.
•
Customers are responsible for all field
wiring in compliance with local,
national, and/or international codes.
•
Any fuses inside the medium-voltage
starter enclosure may be energized.
•
Power factor correction capacitors
(PFCC) fuses must be installed before
energizing the medium-voltage starter.
•
Do NOT modify or disassemble the
medium-voltage starter.
•
Use only factory-authorized
replacement parts.
•
Do NOT install or energize the medium-
voltage starter if it has been damaged.
•
Contactor must be bolted in place after
installation; maximum torque is 14 ft·lb
(19.0 N·m).

ntt:: Mounting a motor starter on or over a
combustible surface could result in a fire.
To minimize the risk of possible fires, a
floor plate of at least 0.056 in. (1.43 mm)
thick galvanized or 0.63 in. (1.6 mm) thick
uncoated steel extending at least 5.9 in.
(150 mm) beyond the equipment on all four
sides must be used.
