CVHH Annual Inspection List
Follow the annual maintenance instructions provided in the text of this manual, including but
not limited to:
Compressor M otor
•
M otor continuity.
•
M otor m eg test.
•
Check m otor term inals.
•
Inspect m otor term inal board.
Starter or AFD
•
Inspect starter contacts.
•
Check all connections per m anufacturer specifications.
•
Follow all m anufacturer recom m endations for starter or AFD m aintenance.
•
Inspect/clean/service the AFD cooling system (water- or air-cooled AFD).
•
Record all applicable starter or starter com ponent settings.
Oil System
•
Annual oil analysis (follow recom m endations).
•
Clean and lubricate oil system as required.
•
Electrical inspection.
•
Pum p m otor continuity check.
•
Run oil pum p and check differential oil pressure.
Condenser
•
Inspect for fouling and scaling in tubes.
•
Check operation of condenser water flow sensing device.
•
Factory recom m endation to eddy current test tubes every three years.
Evaporator
•
Inspect for fouling and scaling in tubes.
•
Check operation of evaporator water flow sensing device.
•
Factory recom m endation to eddy current test tubes every three years.
Control Circuits
•
Verify control param eters.
•
Test appropriate sensors for accuracy.
•
Ensure sensors are properly seated in w ells w ith therm opaste installed.
•
Check evaporator leaving water tem perature low tem perature cutout setpoint.
•
Condenser high pressure sw itch check-out.
•
Check adjustm ent and operation of the inlet guide vane actuator.
Leak Test Chiller
•
Check purge tim es and unit perform ance logs. If warranted, pressure leak test.
•
Review oil analysis. If required, subm it refrigerant sam ple for analysis.
•
Inspect unit for any signs of refrigerant or oil leakage.
•
Check unit for any loose bolts on flange, volutes, or casing.
Purge Unit
•
Review this m anual and follow m aintenance and/or inspection item s identified.
•
Review purge pum p out data.
•
Review overall operation of purge and service as necessary.
Exterior
•
Inlet guide vane linkage.
•
Clean and touch-up painted surfaces as needed.
•
Repair deteriorated, torn, or m issing insulation.
