5. Plug the batteries into the speed control. Note: The battery
connectors from the speed control are fixed inside the chassis.
Align the + and – markings. Make certain the plugs are completely
inserted; the plugs only insert one way.
6. Lower the battery hold-down and push it in toward the outside of
the truck to snap it closed.
7. Reinstall the battery compartment door and secure with the latch.
Note:
Be sure that the door is installed correctly and secure to the
chassis to protect the batteries and connectors from the elements
while driving.
Single Battery Installation
The supplied 4s accessory adapter must be used for single 4s LiPo
operation. Plug the 4s accessory adapter into the 2s/3s battery connector
from the speed control.
• When using a Traxxas 5000mAh 4s battery pack (part #2888X), install
foam battery spacers in the battery compartment for proper fitment.
Install the battery pack as described in the previous section.
• When using the Traxxas 6700mAh 4s battery pack (part #2890X), use
the supplied 4s battery retainer to enlarge the battery compartment.
Remove the four 3x12 BCS from the existing 2s/3s battery retainer
and remove the retainer from the battery compartment; then, install
the 4s battery retainer using two of the 3x12 BCS as shown below.
Install the battery pack as described in the previous section.
