Instructions for use
•
Press the ON/OFF button on the top of the appliance to start operation. Press once to switch the
appliance on and again to switch it off.
•
Bring your shoe gently into contact with the shoe-polish dispenser. We recommend using shoe
polish with a neutral colour, as this is suitable for all types of shoes.
•
We recommend using one brush for neutral-coloured polish and the other brush for coloured
polish.
•
For the best result, do not mix different kinds of polishes on the brushes.
•
When you are done, press the ON/OFF button to switch off the appliance.
Refilling the shoe-polish dispenser
•
You can see from the shoe-polish level indicator whether refilling is needed.
•
Open the dispenser compartment and pull it forward.
•
Remove the shoe-polish bottle from the appliance, unscrew the lid and refill with the same type of
shoe polish as before.
•
Replace the spring and ball bearing correctly and then screw the top back firmly on the bottle.
•
Put the bottle back in the holder and reinsert in the appliance.
Cleaning and maintenance
•
Always pull the plug from the wall socket before cleaning.
•
Caution: Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid!
•
Clean the outside of the appliance with a damp cloth (water and a mild cleaning agent).
•
Never use aggressive cleaning agents or abrasives. Do not use any sharp or pointed objects. Do
not use gasoline or solvents! Clean with a damp cloth and washing-up liquid, if necessary. Do not
use abrasives.
•
When a change of brushes is needed, loosen the screw holding the brush and pull the brush
sideways to remove it from the holder. Push the new brush sideways onto the holder and tighten
the screw. Remember to fasten the screw to the D-shaped base next to the motor.
