DESCRIPTION OF SIGNALS AND POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS
Initialization
(Priming mode)
M019
Problem description:
Each time the spa is powered up, it will enter
Priming Mode. The purpose of Priming Mode is to allow the user to run
each pump and manually verify that the pumps are primed (air is purged)
and water is flowing. This typically requires observing the output of each
pump separately, and is generally not possible in normal operation.
Priming Mode lasts 4 minutes, but you can exit it earlier by pressing any
Temp button. The heater is not allowed to run during Priming Mode.
Note: If your spa has a Recirc Pump, it will turn on with “Light” in Priming
Mode. The Circ Pump will run by itself when Prim- ing Mode is exited.
Water
Temperature is
Unknown
(notification)
Problem description:
the temperature will be displayed after the pump
has been running for 1 minute.
Frost protection
(notification)
Problem description:
a potential freezing situation has been detected,
or the Auxiliary frost protection switch has been closed.
All pumps are activated, one at a time or all together depending on the
system configuration.
All the pumps are activated and remain active for at least 4 minutes
once the freezing condition has ended, or when the auxiliary antifreeze
switch is opened.
In some cases, pumps may turn on and off and the heater may operate
during Freeze Protection.
This is an operational message, not an error indication.
Water too hot
(OHS) – M029
Problem description:
one of the water temp sensors has detected that
the spa water temp is 110°F (43.3°C) and the spa functions are disabled.
System will auto reset when the spa water temp is below 108°F (42.2°C).
Check the pump operation
or high ambient temperature thoroughly.
J29 Warning –
MO44
Problem description:
J29 is typically used as a Heater Disable input.
As such, it should not typically be triggered at power-up.
This message appears if J29 is triggered at power-up.
* this message can be deleted from the top of the panel by pressing any key.
