• Plug one end of the red cable into GateLock’s PC/HUB port and plug the other
end into your router Internet/WAN port. Then move GateLock’s HUB-PC dip
switch to the PC side.
2. Connect your PCs to your router.
3. Plug your GateLock’s power adapter into a power source.
4. Plug your router’s power adapter into a power source.
5. Restart the PC that you will use to configure your router settings.
6. Configure your router’s connection settings.
• Select Obtain an IP address automatically (DHCP) if you want your router to
automatically assign an IP address to each of your PCs.
• If you can only use static IP address, configure your router settings to:
LAN IP address: 192.168.1.1 (or the router’s default IP address)
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
WAN IP address: 192.168.253.2
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.253.1
DNS server: 192.168.253.1
Note:
If your router has a PPPoE option, do not enable it. Set your PPPoE settings
on GateLock’s configuration console.
• Save your router settings.
7. Restart every PC connected to your router.
8. Open your Web browser. Enter 192.168.253.1 in the address field to start
configuring your GateLock.
