Weighted Average of the Room Temperature from all Sensors
TrickleStar Portal allows you to customize the weightings to be assigned to the temperatures measured
by each individual Sensor, and the Thermostat unit in the Sensor settings.
When you add Sensors to your TrickleStar Wi-Fi Smart Thermostat unit, the system automatically
calculates the weighted average of the room temperatures measured from all the Sensors and from the
Thermostat unit itself using the assigned weightings.
This weighted average is shown as the room temperature on the Thermostat’s LCD display, Portal
and the App. It will also be used to turn on/off the Heating or Cooling system to reach your configured
Setpoint Temperature.
Note:
• By default, all weightings will be 100% and the normal average of all room temperatures measured by
the Sensors and the Thermostat will be used.
• You may also set the weighting to be 0%, and exclude the room temperature reading from any of the
Sensor or Thermostat.
• If all the weighting (all Sensors and Thermostat) are set to 0%, the Portal will automatically adjust the
Thermostat’s weighting to 100%
