Installation Sequence
1. Start by installing the Integrated Hardware Utilities available from our
Website:
https://barcodehq.com/utilities/setupintegratedutils.exe
2. Connect your TriCoder to your computer with the C25 Micro USB cable.
3. Turn on the TriCoder. If this is the first time you have connected the TriCoder
to a USB cable, you will be asked to install a USB driver. Three USB upload
types are available. Generally for Windows® select “Full Speed.” For Mac
you must use “HID Keyboard.” See the TriCoder Manual for more informa
tion.
4. If you select the “Full Speed” USB option, Windows will ask you to install a
driver. Make sure you have dowloaded the USB driver from our website to a
location on your computer’s drive and follow Window’s instructions for
installing the driver.
5. Use the Demo programs that come pre-installed in the TriCoder to collect
some data. Then use the Integrared Hardwre Utilities software to move the
collected data from the TriCoder to your computer.
Before Using the TriCoder
The TriCoder operates on a single Li-ion rechargable battery. This battery is
replaceable in the field if it fails, but should provide years of use. The Worth Data
5V power adapter that comes with the TriCoder is used to recharge the battery while
they are in the TriCoder. Removal of the battery may cause data loss, so make sure
you have uploaded any data before removing the battery or storing the TriCoder.
The C25 Cable, plugged into a USB port, can also be used to slowly recharge the
TriCoder - Only if you change the setup to allow USB charging - See the TriCoder
Setup Section in the users manual for more informa-
tion.
Only use the supplied
F17 Worth Data Power Supply
and the C25 Micro USB Cable
! - Using any other
power supply and cable could damage the TriCoder
and will void the warranty. Our C25 USB cable has
larger 20AWG wire for safe fast charging.
