SPRAY WATER SYSTEM
3.3.1
Working in Freezing Temperatures
Prior to parking the vehicle outside in freezing temperatures, the water system
must be completely emptied:
1. Open the drain cock on the underside of the water tank at the left side of the
sweeper unit and completely drain the water out of the water tank.
2. When the tank is empty, unscrew the filter case from the water filter.
3. Switch the water pump on and open all the solenoid valves (using switches F,
G and H* on the control panel).
4. Keep the water pump running until water no longer exits through the nozzles.
5. Switch the water pump off and close all solenoid valves.
6. Replace the filter case on the water filter.
7. Fill commercially available frost protection into the water system via the filling
connection on the water filter. Switch on the water pump and open all solenoid
valves to distribute the frost protection in the system.
3.3.2
Water Tank
While sweeping, check the water level each time when dumping and refill the
tank if necessary.
If freezing temperatures are expected, the water tank must be emptied.
3.3.3
Water Pump
The electrically driven water pump is designed that it can be used dry without
damage. The spray water system is fitted with a separate fixed set overpressure
regulator.
