Under normal conditions, the original batteries in your UPS will last many years. See
Safety section before replacing batteries. The batteries are designed for hot-swap
replacement (i.e., leaving the UPS in ON mode), but some qualified service personnel may
wish to put the UPS in the OFF mode and disconnect equipment before proceeding. See
Battery Warnings
section for additional details. Be sure to observe all warnings.
Procedure

Remove Front Panel

Disconnect Batteries

Remove/Dispose of Batteries

Add Batteries

Connect Batteries
Attach connectors: black-to-black and red-to-red.

Replace Front Panel
Note:
Select models also have a Battery Retention Plate (see
label on the Retention Plate for more details). For models with
this plate, remove it after removing the front panel and replace it
before replacing the front panel.

Battery Replacement
UPS and Battery Recycling
Please recycle Tripp Lite Products. The batteries used in Tripp Lite products
are sealed Lead-Acid batteries. These batteries are highly recyclable. Please
refer to your local codes for disposal requirements.
