OPERATION
WARNING:

Wear a face mask or dust mask if the operation is dusty.
Secure hair above shoulder level.

To prevent serious personal injury, never
operate the unit without the blower tubes firmly installed.

USING THE HARNESS
Putting On the Unit
NOTE:
Start the unit before putting it on. Refer to
Starting and Stopping
.
1. Place the shoulder supports over both shoulders (Fig. 10). The
engine should rest securely on the operator’s back.
2. Connect the support clip:
•
Insert one end of the chest support clip into the other end
until it locks into place (Fig. 10).
3. Tighten the support straps:
•
Pull the shoulder support straps down to tighten the
shoulder supports (Fig. 11).
•
Pull the chest support strap to the right to tighten the chest
support (Fig. 11).
The weight of the unit should be supported on the shoulders by the
shoulder supports (Fig. 10). Adjust the shoulder supports and chest
support as necessary.
Taking Off the Unit
1. Loosen the support straps:
•
Pull the tabs on the bottom of the shoulder support buckles
up to loosen the shoulder supports (Fig. 12).
•
Pull the chest support clip up to loosen the chest support
(Fig. 12).
2. Disconnect the support clips:
•
Squeeze the top and bottom of the chest support clip to
disconnect the chest support clip (Fig. 12).
3. Remove the unit.
