Copying files
"Copy files" serves to copy files from a USB data carrier to the IQ System.
If the IQ System is operated on a Windows computer, the desired drive of the USB data carrier can be
selected under "Source". If it is a Linux operating system, the USB data carriers are directly displayed
in the field "Source". In the picture example above, a USB stick is connected, which is named
"Volume". Depending on the speed of the data carrier, it may take a moment until it is displayed.
In the field "Source" the desired directory on the external data medium is selected. All contained files
are then displayed in the right-hand field. The files to be copied must be selected (multiple selection
is also possible by holding down the Ctrl key) and dragged and dropped onto the lower file display of
the target.
Image files are automatically converted to a suitable format to avoid problems.
Files from "Target" can be dragged and dropped onto the trash can, which will delete them
permanently.
New wallpapers or videos to be displayed on the start page must be copied to the
/home/trugge/IQ-
RPI/Media_Screensaver/
destination.
After a restart of the IQ Software, the new images or videos are automatically recognized and played
back in the screensaver.
