Problem
Cause
Possible solution
The camera is turned
off.
Turn the camera on.
The batteries are
empty.
Replace the batteries (see chapter
3).
The camera does
not react,
although the
batteries are full.
The camera must be
reset.
Remove the USB cable and the
batteries for at least 5 minutes to
reset the camera. Reinsert the
batteries into the camera. The
camera should now work.
NiCd batteries are
used.
Use alkaline batteries (Duracell
Ultra are recommended) or
rechargeable NiMH batteries.
The camera
suddenly turns
itself off.
The power in the
batteries is low.
Replace the batteries
The battery
indicator on the
display flashes.
The batteries are
empty.
Replace the batteries
Increase the distance to the object
to be photographed.
The recordings
are not clear
(hazy).
The focus (distance to
the object) is not
correct.
Set the camera’s focus ring to the
correct position (see chapter
5.1.1).
The camera is still
busy saving the
previous photograph.
The photograph has
not been saved yet.
Wait until the photograph counter
has increased by 1.
The Smart Media Card
is full. Two beeps will
be heard and the
photograph counter
will flash.
Carry out one of the following:
1)
Replace the Smart Media
Card.
2)
Remove the Smart Media
Card and save photographs
in the internal memory.
3)
Delete some photographs
from the Smart Media Card.
4)
Delete all the photographs
from the Smart Media Card.
No photograph is
taken when the
exposure button
is pressed.
The internal memory
is full. Two beeps will
be heard and the
photograph counter
will flash.
Carry out one of the following:
1)
Insert a Smart Media Card
into the camera.
2)
Delete some photographs
from the internal memory.
3)
Delete all the photographs
from the internal memory.
The camera has been
connected incorrectly.
Reconnect the cables
There is no
connection with
the computer.
The camera is turned
off.
Turn the camera back on by
pressing the power button.
The camera does
not give an image
in the application.
Another application is
open and is using the
camera image.
Close the other application first
before starting the test program.
