Video and audio parameters 

You can adjust the video and audio recording parameters to obtain the picture quality 
and file size best suited to your needs. Figure 8 below lists the video and audio 
recording options you can configure for the camera.

Stream Type

: Specify the streaming method used. 

Options include: Main Stream (Normal), Substream, or Third Stream.

: The Third stream is only available when this function is enabled in

 Specify the stream type to record.  

Select 

Video Stream

 to record video stream only. Select 

Video&Audio

 to 

record both video and audio streams. 

Note

: Video&Audio is only available for those camera models that support 

audio. 

 

 

Resolution

: Specify the recording resolution. A higher image resolution 

provides a higher image quality but also requires a higher bit rate. The 
resolution options listed depend on the type of camera and on whether main 
sub or third stream is being used.  

Note

: Resolutions can vary depending on the camera model.
