Recording
This manual uses the term “message” to mean any sound that is
recorded on the Sound-Shuffle. A 'message' could be sound effects,
singing, phonics and speech, through to fully formed sentences.
To record a message, set the Rec-Play-Off switch to the “Rec”
position. Press the “REC button once, the Sound-Shuffle will “beep”
and the red LED will turn on. The Sound-Shuffle is now recording.
To finish recording, press the Rec button once more and the Sound-
Shuffle will “beep” twice and the LED will turn off. This process can
be repeated many times until the memory (240 seconds) is full. When
you have finished, recording set the Rec-Play-Off to either “Play” or
“Off”. When the memory is full, the Sound-Shuffle will “beep” twice
and the record LED will turn off.
Playing
To play the messages back, set the Rec-Play-Off switch to the “Play”
position. When the large top button is pressed, Sound-Shuffle will play
back the messages you have recorded. One message is played back
each time the large button is pressed. When you have finished playing-
back, please set the Rec-Play-Off switch to the “Off” position, to
conserve the batteries.
Sound-Shuffle has two play-back modes selected by the SEQ(uential)-
RAND(om) switch.
