7 Maintenance
This chapter contains the scheduled maintenance that is to be
performed by qualified personnel or the operator.
Perform the described maintenance work in the specified time
intervals.
Safety measures
•
Observe the applicable regulations when handling fuels. This
also applies to the storage and disposal.
•
Observe the applicable provisions and safety regulations for
the respective lubricant and consumable item.
– Wear suitable protective clothing.
•
All safety information from chapter
must be taken into
account and applied.
•
The industrial safety and accident prevention regulations of the
relevant Employers' Liability Insurance Association are
binding.
Safety-relevant parts
•
Damaged safety-relevant parts cause accidents. Replace
damaged parts immediately.
The following parts in particular are safety-relevant parts:
– Safety elements (e. g. spring cotter pins, locking pins,
fastening bolts)
– Hydraulic components (e. g. hoses, fittings, valves)
•
The safety-relevant parts must be checked regularly by a
specialist repair shop and replaced.
Maintenance preparation
1. Park the host vehicle with the accessory equipment on level
and solid ground.
2. Operate the operating lever of the working hydraulics to lower
the quick-change unit or the accessory equipment to the
ground.
3. Activate the holding brake.
4. Place all operating levers of the working hydraulics in the null
position.
5. Shut off the engine of the host vehicle and keep the ignition
key in safe custody so that the machine is secured against
unauthorised starting.
