Congratulations and thank you for choosing the 101° MicroGourmet from Tupperware. This unique product will
allow you to make delicious and healthy meals for yourself and your family. Its versatility will surprise you and
you will soon use it for your daily meals. It will help you to bring more vegetables into your diet in a quick, easy
and enjoyable way.
The only way to steam in the microwave is to block the microwaves from cooking the food directly while
directing the waves to the water in the Water Tray (4). The water then steams the contents which are inside
through the Steamer Base (3) and the Colander Tray (2). The 101° MicroGourmet is the first microwave
product that truly steams the food.
The Colander Tray (2) can stack in the Steamer Base (3) to hold different capacities and to have two different
heights for flatter or bigger foods. The Colander Tray (2) can be completely removed for steaming bulky foods
like cauliflower.
Wellness cooking
Steaming is a well known method that allows fat-free cooking while retaining nutriments, fatty acids and
vitamins. Steaming does not mean bland cooking. The colours are more vibrant, the texture stays firm, the
natural flavours are better preserved and the herbs or condiments can fully develop their aroma. You can also
accompany your meals with sauces for a richer taste.
You can make a whole meal in your 101° MicroGourmet by placing e.g. the vegetables in the Steamer Base
(3) and the fish or poultry in the Colander Tray (2). Please always refer to the cooking guidelines for timing of
foods alone or combined.
Versatile cooking
You can steam any type of food such as vegetables, fruits, fish or poultry in your MicroGourmet, but also
reheat leftovers or steam from frozen.
Beautiful design
The Tupperware 101° MicroGourmet elegant design and colours make it suitable for serving directly on the
table. You can simply leave the Steamer Base (3) on the Water Tray (4) and place the Colander Tray (2) on the
reversed Cover (1). Always place them on a trivet to protect the table surface.
Advice and tips
• Choose quality ingredients that can be steamed, preferably of the season as they will contain more vitamins
if freshly picked.
• Frozen ingredients are a good alternative to fresh produce as they have high nutritional qualities. You can
steam straight from frozen by adjusting cooking time as per the Cooking Guidelines (avoid thick sections).
• Ensure there is some space in between foods to allow the steam to circulate.
• Thicker foods may take longer to steam. For best results ensure all pieces are of similar size.
• Remove the thick stems from cabbage, cauliflower and broccoli.
• Marinating fish or meat prior to steaming or adding toppings such as condiments, seasoning or sauces will
significantly enhance their appearance and flavour.
