• When stack cooking, position the harder ingredients in the Steamer Base (3) and the softer foods, fish or
meat in the Colander Tray (2). Place a leaf of lettuce under the fish for easier cleaning of the tray.
• Let stand for at least 5 minutes after cooking. Leave it closed until serving to keep the food warm. If you wish
to stop the steaming process - recommended for green vegetables - pour out the remaining hot water.
• Whenever you stop the microwave to verify the cooking, check the water level in the Water Tray (4) to ensure
it is still at the 400ml line and add 1 min of cooking time to allow the water to steam again.
• Eggs in the shell, rice, pasta, pastry or crispy foods are not suitable for steaming in the 101° MicroGourmet.
Cleaning
• Clean the product thoroughly after each use in the dishwasher or with a non-abrasive sponge.
• Some staining may appear but this will not affect the performance of the product. It is recommended not to
use staining spices such as curry to avoid discolouration.
• To remove the mineral deposit that can be left from water in the Water Tray (4), boil white vinegar in a pan
and pour in the tray (4), let stand for 30 min, pour out and scrub with a non abrasive sponge or brush.
Caution
• Please read the manual of your microwave oven to understand its limitations and to locate the energizer*.
• Please read the cautionary instructions and keep them as reference:
1. Do not exceed 800 WATTS.
2. Do not cook for more than 30 min at a time. Let the product and the microwave oven cool
down before re-using.
3. Always pour cold water into the Water Tray (4) and ensure it never goes empty. Make sure to
fill to at least the 400ml minimum filling line.
4. Always place the product at least 5 cm away from the glass/ceramic protection around the
top energizer of your microwave oven. If you have a microwave oven with a tray or a shelf,
remove those from the oven and place the 101° MicroGourmet directly on the bottom of
your microwave oven. If you have a microwave oven where the energizer is located only
on the side, you do not need to respect the 5cm distance, nor from the top, nor from the
side; except if the side energizer is covered by a glass/ceramic protection. If you have a
microwave oven with a turning plate, always center the product on the turning plate and
make sure the plate is rotating.
* energizer: the location where the microwaves enter the oven
WARNING:
1. Cooking at more than 800 Watt may cause the reservoir or other parts of the product to melt.
2. Cooking for more than 30 minutes will cause the water level to drop and may cause the
water reservoir to melt.
3. Adding less than 400 ml of water to the reservoir may cause the reservoir to melt.
4. Placing the product closer to the top walls than recommended in the instructions
(less than 5 cm), may cause melting of the top cover.
• The 101° MicroGourmet is suitable for use only in the microwave. Do not use in the conventional oven. In
combi ovens, make sure the grill/crisp function is not activated accidently during the microwave cooking
process as this will damage your product.
• Always ensure the Water Tray (4), Steamer Base (3) and Cover (1) and optional Colander Tray (2) are
correctly assembled. Never use the Colander Tray (2) without the Steamer Base (3).
• For foods with high water content such as spinach leaves, mushrooms, mussels, chard leaves or frozen
foods, fill the Water Tray (4) with 350ml to avoid overflowing during steaming.
• Never replace the water with wine, syrup, oil, juice, soup or fatty stock.
• Do not overfill the Steamer Base (3) or the Colander Tray (2) and ensure the Cover (1) is closed properly.
• Never leave the product unattended while cooking.
• Product and content will be hot after steaming. Always use oven gloves and lift the product by the handles of
the Water Tray (4). Always remove the cover away from yourself using the two integrated handles.
