Head lamp glows for approximately 10 secs. only with
50% intensity when it is turned ON while the engine is
in OFF condition.
If you press the starter switch at this point head lamp
goes OFF and will turn ON automatically once the
starter switch is released. Head lamp intensity will
reduce by 50% if the engine is kept idle for more than
20 sec (approx).
3. Throttle grip
It controls the fuel-air mixture supplied to the engine,
which regulates the engine speed. Rotate the throttle
grip in counter-clockwise from its idle position to
increase the engine speed and vice-versa to reduce.
4. Engine cut off switch
It is used to switch off ‘ ‘ the engine but to keep
other DC system active. The ignition circuit is
disabled, preventing the engine from being restarted.
To restart the engine, return the switch to the ‘ ‘
position.
5. Front brake lever
It controls a hydraulic circuit that operates the front
braking system. The front brake is applied by pressing
the front brake lever gently towards the grip. The
brake lamp glows on application of front brake.

2. Head lamp switch
Head lamp switch has three positions. Working of
head lamp at these three positions of the switch are as
follows:
OFF:
W h e n t h e k n o b i s i n ‘ ‘ p o s i t i o n ,
speedometer back illumination and position
lamp remains ON and other lamps will
remain OFF .
PO:
When the switch knob is shifted to ‘ ‘
position, speedometer back illumination,
position lamps, number plate lamp and tail
lamp will be ON except head lamp.
ON:
When the switch knob is shifted to ‘ ‘
position while the engine is running, the
head lamp also glows with the above lamps.
Note
Before starting, ensure to turn ON the engine cut off
switch.
Release the electric starter switch immediately after
the engine has started.
