3.4. Protections
The power supply has been designed with over voltage, over current, over load, short circuit and
current limit protections. In case of over voltage, over current, over load, short circuit or current
exceeding preset current limit, the protection circuits immediately start up and make protections. the
LCD will display “FAULT” on the upper right corner. At the same time, the beeper alarms.
In this situation, first turn off the output by pressing the POWER switch. Next check and clarify
reasons of alarming. For example, if there is over load, reduce load capacity and reset. Press RESET
key, the AC power supply can be operated again.
In case of over load or short circuit, do not press RESET key right after the alarm to reset the
settings, because this operation will have impact in the power supply machine life. The correct
operation is to turn off the output and press key RESET. Before restart the power supply, check and
make sure the load is in good condition.

3.5. Remote Control
RS232 interface is a standard part for TFC8000 series. A GPIB interface is also provided as an
optional part for users.
The RS232 interface is the most commonly used interface for instruments. Its hardware is a D type
9-pin connector. The pin definition is as below:
