BIOS Features Setup
Virus warning
When enabled, this function flashes on-screen messages. During and
after the system boot up, any attempt to write to the boot sector or the
partition table of the hard disk drive will halt the system and produce
an error message. If a warning appears, you should run an anti-virus
program to locate the problem. This feature protects only the boot
sector, not the entire drive. Note that some disk diagnostic programs
will trigger a virus warning message.
Enabled Activates automatically when the system boots up, causing a warning
message to appear when anything attempts to access the boot sector or hard
disk partition table.
Disabled No warning message will appear when anything attempts to access the boot
sector or hard disk partition table.
