4.1,L. Learn Crimp!
The Learn Crimp screen is displayed when the CQM calculates a crimp height that is within the specified
tolerance for the part, but the CQM is still learning the values it will use to establish the good work index
and peak force ranges for the part.
The “Repeat Crimp,” “Accept as Good,” “Next Part,” and “Reset Kit” buttons are shown on the screen
when the crimp occurs while the Production or Production/CQM screens are displayed.
The “Accept as Good” button and the X button are shown when the crimp occurs while the Manual
Operation screen is displayed.
The learn crimp counts for the job and the current batch will be incremented by one.
Touch the “Clear Limits” button to reset the learning process.
Touch the “Repeat Crimp” button to return to the Production or Production/CQM screen and repeat the
part in the kit sequence.
Touch the “Accept as Good” button to return to the Production, Production/CQM, or Manual Operation
screen. If returning to the Production or Production/CQM screen the CQM will advance to the next part
in the kit sequence. The work index and peak force values that were calculated are added to the collection
of values that will be used to establish the ranges for good crimps.
